Step 1: Observe
- What's the symptom? (no power, beeping, low output, battery not charging)
- When did it start? (after storm, after settings change, gradual)
- Check inverter display for error codes
Step 2: Check the Obvious
- Is the inverter ON? (LED status)
- Circuit breaker tripped?
- Grid power available? (Meralco outage?)
- Weather conditions? (heavy rain = low PV normal)
Step 3: Check Parameters
- PV voltage within range?
- Battery SOC reasonable?
- Load within inverter capacity?
Step 4: Isolate
- Disconnect loads one by one
- Test with minimal load (one light bulb)
- Check if solar alone charges battery
